Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen delivered a dazzling performance on Wednesday night, scoring twice to power Galatasaray to a commanding 3-0 victory over Trabzonspor and secure the 2025 Turkish Cup title.

Galatasaray took an early lead in the 5th minute through Baris Alper Yilmaz, who rifled home after a sublime assist from Yunus Akgun.

Despite appeals for a Trabzonspor handball in the box before half-time, the referee waved play on.

Osimhen stole the show after the break. In the 46th minute, he latched onto another clever Akgun pass before smashing an unstoppable shot into the bottom corner.

He returned in the 63rd minute with an even more spectacular finish, jinking past his marker and thundering a strike into the top corner.

Trabzonspor thought they had pulled one back through Anthony Nwakaeme, but VAR ruled it out for offside. Galatasaray’s Alvaro Morata also saw a goal disallowed late on.

Victory sealed Galatasaray’s domestic dominance — and Osimhen’s heroics made him the undisputed star of the night.
