Nigeria international Victor Osimhen continued his fine run of form on Saturday, delivering a goal and an assist to power Galatasaray S.K. to a 3–1 home victory over Alanyaspor.
Osimhen played a decisive role in the encounter, first turning provider when he teed up Lucas Torreira for Galatasaray’s second goal two minutes before the hour mark. The 27-year-old striker then sealed the win seven minutes from time, capitalising on a costly error by Alanyaspor goalkeeper Paulo Victor.
The forward has now recorded 10 goals and four assists in 16 league appearances for the Yellow and Reds this season, underlining his importance to the Turkish champions’ title charge.
With the victory, Galatasaray extended their lead at the summit of the Turkish Süper Lig table to five points ahead of rivals Fenerbahçe S.K., strengthening their grip on the championship race.
