It is with great joy that I join the entire Ogu race worldwide, and the good people of Badagry to extend best wishes to our revered monarch; De Whenu, Aholu Menu-Toyi 1, the Akran of Badagry and the most prominent monarch of Badagry Division on the special occasion of his 85th birthday. This special day gives us an opportunity to personally thank you for the contributions you have made to the development, peace and tranquility we enjoy in the Badagry Corridor of Lagos State.
You have shown that rare combination of a simple and modest lifestyle coupled with an ambitious and grand vision that has proven to be a great recipe to the development of the ancient Kingdom of Badagry.
As the traditional ruler of Badagry, you have done much to strengthen the bond of coexistence between Badagrians and other tribesmen living and doing business in the area, hence, placing us on the pathway to a better future.
Your unrivalled dedication and pragmatism with which you have so far piloted this sacred stool in such a progressive direction that is currently showcasing Badagry town as a center of peace and home of hospitality is worth emulating by other traditional leaders in Nigeria at this critical period of security challenges in our dear country.
May Almighty God continue to bless you, your royal family, the kingdom of Badagry and the entire Ogu race in Nigeria under your indefatigable leadership.
