The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon. Oladotun Olakanle has distributed over a thousand Food palliative packages to indigent residents of the council on Saturday.
Speaking at the event, Hon Olakanle assured both the indigenes and other residents of Onigbongbo Council of continuous sustainable development projects across communities.
He stated that the free food packs distribution is to replicate the initiative of the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu who directed the distribution of free food items across the 57 Councils in Lagos State.
The Council boss noted that “we will ensure our electorates who have bestowed their confidence in us continue to enjoy dividends of democracy”.
The open distribution exercise held at the Council Secretariat premises targeted the elderly members of the community, CDC/CDA members, market women/men and a host of other vulnerable resident of the council.
The Chairman in his magnanimity doled out two thousand naira to one-hundred and forty others who could not get the food packs.
