The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, on Monday joined the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, at the commissioning of the newly remodeled Lagos State Police Gender-Based Violence and Family Support Centre in Ikeja.
The upgraded facility—located at the Lagos State Police Gender Unit, Harold Shodipo Crescent, GRA Ikeja—has now been renamed the Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu Centre for Gender-Based Violence and Family Support, in recognition of the First Lady’s long-standing advocacy for the protection of women, children, and other vulnerable groups.
According to officials, the expanded centre strengthens the state’s capacity to deliver timely justice, enhanced protection, and comprehensive support services for survivors of gender-based violence across Lagos.
Hon. Adebanjo praised the First Lady for her unwavering commitment to championing the rights of vulnerable residents, noting that her leadership continues to inspire institutions and communities to take stronger action against all forms of abuse.
