Onigbongbo Chairman, Adebanjo Hosts 9 Brigade Commander on Familiarisation Visit

The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, on Tuesday received the Commander of the 9 Brigade Nigerian Army, Brigadier General A.O. Owolabi, on a courtesy and familiarisation visit to the Council Secretariat.

The visit highlighted the longstanding partnership between the Nigerian Army formation and the council, with both leaders reaffirming their commitment to sustaining peace, security and stability within the community.

Welcoming the Brigade Commander, Adebanjo expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the contributions of Owolabi’s predecessor, Brigadier General O.M. Oyekola, for strengthening collaboration between the Brigade and the council.

In his remarks, Brig. Gen. Owolabi said the visit formed part of his familiarisation tour following his recent assumption of office. He pledged to consolidate and deepen the existing relationship between the 9 Brigade and Onigbongbo LCDA.

The Brigade Commander assured the Chairman of the formation’s continued support in ensuring safety and security across the council area, noting that the Brigade remains ready to assist whenever required.

Responding, Adebanjo thanked the Commander for the assurance and reaffirmed the council’s readiness to support the Nigerian Army in advancing their shared objectives of community safety and development.
