In a bid to mitigate the impact of food scarcity during the fasting and lenten season, Mr Abisola Omisore, a chairmanship aspirant in the upcoming Local Government election in Ikeja, has donated essential food items such as Rice, Spaghetti, Gari, salt, Sugar etc, to the Alausa Community and vulnerable residents in the six wards of Ikeja local government.

According to Omisore, during the interview session, he stated that the primary objective of this initiative is to extend support to the elderly and less privileged during this season of love and sharing.

“Additionally, this effort aims to align with the directives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which focus on assisting vulnerable and less privileged individuals in alleviating economic tension in the country” he noted.

He stated that similar gestures have been extended to the other six wards within the Ikeja Local government.
He, however, cautioned that the people of Ikeja and Nigeria at large exercise patience for President Bola Tinubu to deliver the desired economic recovery that everyone has been calling for.

Consequently, some of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the aspiring Chairman for his kind gesture at this critical period of the economy and prayed that the Almighty God will continue to guide and protect him to achieve his political ambitions of becoming the new Chairman of Ikeja Local Government come 2025.

Present during the handing over of the Food Palliatives were Party leaders, Community Development Association members, (CDA’s) within Alausa Community, traditional leaders, and a host of others.
