In a brief chat with his media team, the Council Mayor highlighted the importance of finding lasting solution to the issue. He however stated that in the absence of that, something had to be done to at the very least ease the effects of the rains on the residents.

“It is clear that a lasting solution is needed to challenges such as this one, however, in the absence of the needed resources for the proper solutions, we cannot fold our arms and do nothing while our people suffer, we have to dig deep to at least provide succour in the meantime”.

Speaking further, he assured residents of the Council at large that as it has been established about his administration, everything that can make lives better for residents of the LCDA is in view and being considered every second, however, those solutions have to be weighed against a limited flow of resources which eventually determines which project is feasible, and which one is not. But as for the commitment of his administration to constantly maximise the usage of resources, that remains unflinching.

In the company of the Chairman were members of the Executive arm of the Government of the Council.
