Olaore picks third boxing ticket to Paris Olympic Games

African Continental champion Adam Olaore has secured the third ticket for Nigeria in boxing after beating Algeria’s Mohamed Houmri in the final of the men’s 92kg at the Africa Olympic Qualifiers in Dakar, Senegal.

African Continental champion Adam Olaore has secured the third ticket for Nigeria in boxing after beating Algeria’s Mohamed Houmri in the final of the men’s 92kg at the Africa Olympic Qualifiers in Dakar, Senegal.

The Nigerian took down the Algerian soldier through a split decision of 4-0 to emerge the champion of the division and secure a place at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in France.

Joshua Omole and Cynthia Ogunsemilore had earlier secured their tickets in the men’s 57kg and women’s 60kg to return Nigeria to the Olympic Games after its last appearance in the boxing event at Rio 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.
