Olakanle’s TantoOlohun Campaign observes Tree Planting Day

The Executive Chairman Onigbongbo LCDA Hon Oladotun Olakanle with the TantoOlohun campaign mantra, took timeout from busy campaigns on Wednesday morning for the annual Tree Planting Exercise with this year theme ‘Restore and Recover‘ held in front of the LCDA.

Hon Olakanle was joined by the Leader of the Onigbongbo Legislative Council Hon Seyi Lawal with other Management Staff of the Council and the representative of the Hon Commissioner for the Environment, Mrs. Joy Hessien from Lagos State Park and Gardens (LASPARK).

The Council Chairman in his chat with Lagos Panorama, said “Tree Planting is the only guarantee solution to rescue the planet from environmental degradation.

It’s not enough to plant trees, as annually observed 14th July, but to also sustain the maintenance is of necessity and here in Onigbongbo LCDA we are making tree planting and sustaining a culture among all and sundry” Oladotun averred.

Thereafter, the Tantolohun train moved to Ward D where the councilor Hon Kayode, Councillorship candidate, Hon Folusho Omoteso, and Ward Chairman joined the Chairman and his Vice, Barr Rekiya Olufunke Hassan, and others for the Door-to-Door campaign.
