Ifeanyi Okowa, the Governor of Delta State, has arrived at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat for his screening for the vice-presidential slot to Atiku Abubakar.

However, multiple reports have claimed that Atiku has finally settled for Okowa, dropping the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, who was earlier recommended by the party’s selection committee.

AIT owned by Raymond Dokpesi, the leader of the technical committee for the Atiku Abubakar presidential campaign, reported that Atiku will announce Okowa as his running mate any moment from now.

The news platform noted that “barring any unforeseen last-minute developments, Governor of Delta State Ifeanyi Okowa is the man to emerge as the party’s Vice Presidential candidate for the 2023 elections.”
