Ojodu Youths Benefit Skills Training, Empowerment

Twenty (20) youths in Ojodu LCDA have benefitted from Lagos State Government’s Youth Employability Engagement programme tagged ‘21st Century Community Talent Hunt with digital Entrepreneurship Skills Training/Mentorship for unemployed youths in the 57LGs/LCDAs in Lagos State’.

Twenty (20) youths in Ojodu LCDA have benefitted from Lagos State Government’s Youth Employability Engagement programme tagged ‘21st Century Community Talent Hunt with digital Entrepreneurship Skills Training/Mentorship for unemployed youths in the 57LGs/LCDAs in Lagos State’.

While paying visit to the Executive Chairman, Ojodu LCDA Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku, the beneficiaries, led by Luqman Apanpa, eulogized the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the wonderful initiative which has positively exposed the participants to life-changing tutelage. They also showered encomiums on the Council Mayor for availing them the privilege to participate in the scheme.

Hon. Odunmbaku advised the participants to make judicious use of the programme for personal development and the good of society in general. “You are expected to add values to the society through this training. As times are changing, we must get things done even in the midst of scarcity”, said the Chairman.

Odunmbaku further reiterated his commitment to the development and growth of the youths, who are bedrocks of any successful society. “I charge you to stand out and create a niche for yourselves in your respective areas of choice. We are here to impact lives. Even as 9 of 5 jobs are no longer sustaining, you are expected to think out of the box. The training is not the end, we’d continue to monitor in order to ensure sustained growth.

The participants were tutored in the following areas; Agriculture, fashion designing, Teaching, Construction, Logistics and Supply, Entertainment.
