Ojodu LCDA partners with Lions Club to provide food assistance to vulnerable residents

Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) collaborated with the Lions Club (Ikeja Viva L’amour) to launch a Hunger Relief Programme, distributing 200 food packages to vulnerable residents on Thursday, 16th January, 2024 at the Council Secretariat.

Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi, Vice Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, who represented the Chairman, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, commended the Lions Club for their support, highlighting that the initiative reflects the council’s commitment to fostering partnerships that benefit the community.

Dr. Anastasia Gbem, President of Lions Club Ikeja Viva L’amour, shared that the programme aligns with the club’s global mission to combat food insecurity. Chairperson Folashade Ashafa emphasized the club’s commitment to addressing pressing societal issues.

Beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the timely assistance, underscoring the power of collective action in combating hunger.
