Ojodu LCDA, Lagos SDGs Office Empower Women Through Financial Inclusion

Ojodu LCDA in collaboration with the Lagos State Office of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has launched a Financial Inclusion Programme to enhance financial literacy and economic empowerment for 60 women.

 

Ojodu LCDA in collaboration with the Lagos State Office of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has launched a Financial Inclusion Programme to enhance financial literacy and economic empowerment for 60 women.

The initiative, that provides POS Machines and cash through financial service providers Cowrywise and Opay and data management services by NIMC and LASRAA focused on equipping women with wealth management skills and access to financial services. These partners emphasized the importance of financial inclusion in bridging economic gaps for underrepresented women.

Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, highlighted financial inclusion as a key driver of socioeconomic growth, while Vice Chairman, Hon. Bunmi Oluyadi, stressed the role of data management in maximizing programme benefits.

SSA to the Governor on SDGs, Mrs. Oreoluwa Finnih reaffirmed the government’s commitment to grassroots financial empowerment. The programme aligns with SDG Goal 1 (No Poverty) and Goal 5 (Gender Equality), promoting sustainable development through financial literacy.
