The initiative follows the earlier distribution of 500 free JAMB registration forms to qualified students across the council area. The programme is designed to ease the financial burden on parents while providing young people with the opportunity to pursue tertiary education.

Council authorities explained that the tutorial sessions are intended to provide beneficiaries with academic guidance, examination strategies and structured learning support to enhance their performance in the highly competitive national examination.

Speaking on the programme, the Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon Segun Odunmbaku, represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon Kafayat Layeni, reaffirmed the council’s commitment to investing in the future of young people through education.

Layeni noted that while the council had earlier provided free JAMB registration forms, it also considered it necessary to organise structured tutorial sessions to improve the candidates’ chances of gaining admission into tertiary institutions.

The free tutorial classes are scheduled to commence on March 15, 2026, and will hold every weekday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Odunmbaku House, No. 3 Akinyode Close, opposite Mobil Filling Station, Ijaiye-Ogba, Lagos.
