The Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, on Thursday attended the official opening ceremony of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ojodu LCDA Headquarters situated on Aina Street, Grammar School Bus Stop, Ojodu.
The newly inaugurated party secretariat, donated by Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, marks a significant step in strengthening the organisational framework and grassroots presence of the APC within Ojodu LCDA and neighbouring communities.
In his remarks, Hon. Odunmbaku lauded Rt. Hon. Faleke for his consistent commitment to party development and grassroots advancement, describing the donation as a timely and strategic intervention. He noted that the new headquarters would enhance coordination, mobilisation and political engagement at the local level, while serving as a hub for unity, strategic planning and effective service delivery in line with the progressive ideals of the APC.
The Guest of Honour and Chairman of the Lagos State APC, Chief Cornelius Ojelabi, also commended Rt. Hon. Faleke and the leadership of the party in Ojodu LCDA for their dedication.
He urged party members to remain steadfast, united and focused on deepening the party’s connection with the people through responsive governance and inclusive politics.
The event attracted several party chieftains, including the Vice Chairman, Alhaja Funmilayo Layeni; the State Treasurer, Chief Oludele Sonola; Alhaja Stella Kokumo; and other party leaders, who delivered goodwill messages and prayers. They reaffirmed the party’s commitment to sustained development, unity and democratic participation in Ojodu LCDA and across Lagos State.
Others included the Executive Chairman Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Dauda and the Vice Chairman, Hon. Abisola Omisore, and the Vice Chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA, Hon. Shamsideen Akerele and a host of others.
