The Ojo Local Government has recorded the safe delivery of it first baby of the year at exactly 12:35am at the Council’s Primary Healthcare Center.
This was announced in a press statement signed by the Council’s Head, Public Affairs, Odunfa, M. Oyeleke, who stated that the Medical officer of Health, Dr. Abidemi Ajewole Shosanya stated that the first baby of the year was put to bed safely around 12.35 a.m. on 1st January, 2022, a bouncing baby girl of 4kg by Mrs. Ikeli Chiamaka at Ojo Primary health care centre, Ojo.
The wife of the Executive Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Mrs. Abimbola Idowu during her visit to the Ojo Primary Health Care Centre to welcome the first baby of the year into the caring local government, said, “Expectant and Nursing mothers have been advised to take care of medical antenatal and post natal care of their children with necessary attention in order to avert Mother and child mortality during delivery.”
Mrs. Idowu explained that the administration of the Executive Chairman deemed it compulsory to equipping all the primary health care centres in the Local Government Area, adding that the residents should patronise the centres for utmost medical care.
The Chairperson, on behalf of the Council donated essential items to the Mother for the baby upkeep.
The ceremony was witnessed by the Husband, Mr. Chiamaka, Apex Nurse and Medical Staff at the Health Centre.
