Eligible voters have been advised to register and revalidate their voter cards ahead of year 2023 elections and beyond.
The Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Hon.Rasulu Olusola Idowu made this known during the interactive sensitisation programme on movement of continuous voters registration from INEC Office to designated polling units within the Local Government Area on Wednesday at Ojo Multi Purpose Hall.
Hon.Idowu further appealed to the stakeholders to make use of the opportunity by disseminating vital information on voters registration exercise at the the grassroot for the eligible voters, adding that only the valid voter cards would enable them to vote for candidates of their choice during the elections.
The Resident INEC, Electoral Officer, Ojo Local Government, Mr.Sadiq Ayinla explained the method and process of movement of voters registration from INEC office to the designated polling units, noting that this is in line with Electoral body policy to move the registration closer to the eligible voters for adequate coverage of the area.
Mr. Ayinla solicited for the support and cooperation of the stakeholders to create and disseminate the information to the people at the grassroot for a successful and massive turnout during the forthcoming exercise.
The event was witnessed by the Vice Chairman, Hon.(Mrs.) Edna Uche Ubochi, Leader of the Council, Hon Adefemi Solomon Wusu, former Chairman, Hon.Yinka Durosimi, former Executive Secretary, Hon.Sikuru Lawal,former Sole Administrator, Alhaji Abdul Wasiu Sanni, Honourable Councillors,others were ;Baales,Community Development Committee and all the stakeholders in the area.
