In line with constitutional provision, the Executive Chairman of Ojo Local Government, Hon. Rasulu Olusola Idowu has signed into law appropriation bill of 2,900,079,900.85k(Two billion, Nine hundred Million, Seventy Nine thousand, Nine Hundred Naira and Eighty five kobo only) of year 2022 Budget of Progressive Development presented to the legislative house for consideration and passage.
The LG.Chairman explained that the approved year 2022 budget would give the Executive and Management the impetus to embark on sectoral development of the Council, appreciating the Legislative Council for the speedy passage of the appropriation bill, as this would scale up the rapid development of the Local Government.
Earlier, the Leader of the Council, Hon.Solomon Adefemi Wusu remarked that the house did thorough work on the consideration of the bill to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people of the area, noting that the legislature would not lack in their constitutional responsibilities for the betterment of the people.
Highlight of the ceremony was the signing of the appropriation bill and approved budget by the Council Clerk,Mr. Mahmud Rabiu, Leader of the Council, Hon.Solomon Adefemi Wusu and the Executive Chairman, Hon.Rasulu Olusola also assented.
The event was witnessed by the Honourable Councillors, Council Manager, Mrs.Esther Ajose, Head of Department, Budget and Planning, Mr.Lukuman Onitiri.and Management Staff.
