The entire management, staff and students of Ogunmodede College, Epe, were in high spirits as the Honourable Member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Epe Constituency, Mr. Wale Raji, donated a fully-equipped, 18-capacity ICT Centre to the school.
Commissioning the project, which is one of the education-related programmes facilitated and sponsored in Epe, the lawmaker reiterated that a better future is assured when the education sector is developed, just as he made a commitment that quality education for leaders of tomorrow would be given top priority.
His words: “I especially commend the Lagos State Government led by our dynamic Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for the provision of infrastructure in the State. We particularly commend him for the ongoing construction of Epe-Eleko Road and other developmental projects within the Epe Federal Constituency.
“Today we are going to commission a total number of 13 projects in various schools in Epe Federal Constituency to bridge the infrastructural gap in our various schools. This became necessary upon realisation of the fact that the task of developing the education sector in a growing economy like Lagos State is a joint task that requires the contribution of all stakeholders”, he added.
The projects commissioned include a Block of Six Classrooms with furniture and VIP Toilets at Agbowa Community Grammar School, Ikosin-Ejirin; Odomola Secondary School, Eredo; and Army High School Epe.
Others are a laboratory at Igbooye, Eredo LCDA, Epe; block of three classrooms with furniture at LG Primary School Oriba; Teachers Staff quarters at Orugbo, Ikosi- Ejirin and a host of others.
