The Ogun State Ministry of Justice has announced that it is fast-tracking the prosecution of entertainer Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, over a road traffic incident that occurred on 1 November 2025 in Sagamu.
According to the Ministry, Mr. Abiodun drove into two motorcycles, leaving a rider and a female passenger seriously injured. He reportedly attempted to flee the scene without showing remorse, prompting a strong reaction from bystanders. The Ogun State Police Command immediately commenced investigations while prioritising the medical care and privacy of the victims.
In a separate development, on 23 November 2025, Mr. Abiodun was again involved in a lone-vehicle crash in Lekki, Lagos State. The incident narrowly avoided injuring pedestrians, who were able to move away quickly. This latest occurrence is believed to be his third road crash in two months.
The Ministry noted that while some traffic collisions may be treated as civil matters, repeated dangerous driving poses a serious threat to public safety and may warrant criminal prosecution. It added that two of the recent incidents were captured on video, leaving little ambiguity about the circumstances.
Given the growing public concern over Mr. Abiodun’s continued driving, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, SAN, has directed that the pending Sagamu case be prioritised for immediate arraignment. The Ministry confirmed that it is working closely with the Ogun State Police Command to ensure a swift and lawful process.
