Office of the Surveyor-General sends forth retirees

The Office of the Lagos State Surveyor-General has sent forth two of its personnel, Mr. Lasbat Jinadu, Assistant Director, Public Affairs and Mrs. Iyabode Ogunleye, Prin. Administration & Human Resources Officer, who recently retired from the Public Service.

The Office of the Lagos State Surveyor-General has sent forth two of its personnel, Mr. Lasbat Jinadu, Assistant Director, Public Affairs and Mrs. Iyabode Ogunleye, Prin. Administration & Human Resources Officer, who recently retired from the Public Service.

Speaking at the event, Surv. Olutomi Sangowawa, the Permanent Secretary/Surveyor-General of Lagos State, congratulated the retirees for successfully completing their service to the State with unblemished records.

The Permanent Secretary urged all staff to emulate the diligence, commitment and hard work rendered to the Lagos State Government by the retired staff so that they can also be celebrated when they exit from service.

Advising the retirees to keep themselves active in retirement, Surv. Sangowawa said, “Get yourself involved in productive activities and acquire new skills in order not to be bored”.

In her remarks at the brief ceremony, the representative of the Public Service Office, Mrs. Ebunoluwa Aina advised the retirees to take the issue of their health seriously while imploring them to spend their retirement benefits wisely.

She enjoined the retirees to deploy the enormous wealth of experience at their disposal into entrepreneurship, urging them to continue their post-retirement life in honesty and integrity.

Responding, Mr. Jinadu expressed his appreciation to the management and entire staff of the Office of the Surveyor-General for their warm reception and the team spirit exhibited while he served in the organisation.

In the same vein, Mrs. Ogunleye encouraged staff to keep up the good work and put God first in everything they do in order to achieve the State Government’s objectives for a Greater Lagos.

The event was attended by management and staff of the Office of the Surveyor-General, members of the family of the retirees, and their former colleagues including the General Manager, Lagos Traffic Radio, Mr. Tayo Akanle and Managing Director, Gold Waters & Associates, Mr. Kayode Jackson, among others.
