Ojodu Council Chairman promises facelift for Primary Health Care

The Executive Chairman, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku has promised to facelift Primary Health Centers (PHC) in Ojodu LCDA.

The Executive Chairman, Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku has promised to facelift Primary Health Centers (PHC) in Ojodu LCDA.

This promise was stressed during the inspection tour of capital projects and flagship PHCs (Gbadamosi PHC) by the Lagos House of Assembly Committee on Health, led by Hon. Olusola Hakeem.

Hon. Odunmbaku has expressed his eagerness to make PHCs in Ojodu LCDA the best among the rest by expanding their structural facilities and provision of necessary medical materials in order to serve the people better. In this regard, the Council Engineer, Engr. Shomade noted that within Six weeks, the renovation of Gbadamosi PHC could be completed.

In his remark, Hon. Hakeem expressed his readiness to support the PHC with an Ambulance; while the provision of medical equipment being prayed for by the Medical Officer, Dr. Anne Okonma would be made available after the successful renovation of the facility. He then promised to revisit the facility soon with greater positive expectations.

In his conclusion, Hon. Hakeem registered his satisfaction with the level of COVID-19 protocol compliance and medical services provided at the PHC despite the limited resources available.

In the entourage at the facility tour were HOD Environmental Services, Sanitarian Sangolana, Council Engineer, Engr. Shomade and other medical officers of the Local Council Development Area.
