Odunmbaku, Kafaya Layeni, Campaign Council pay a courtesy visit to Oba of Aguda, seeking royal blessings ahead of elections

As part of ongoing consultations ahead of the forthcoming local government elections, the Chairman of Ojodu LCDA and APC flagbearer, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, alongside his running mate, Alhaja Kafaya Layeni and members of the campaign council paid a courtesy visit to the Palace of Oba Hakeem Agbaosi Eweobaja I, the traditional ruler of Aguda kingdom.

As part of ongoing consultations ahead of the forthcoming local government elections, the Chairman of Ojodu LCDA and APC flagbearer, Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, alongside his running mate, Alhaja Kafaya Layeni and members of the campaign council paid a courtesy visit to the Palace of Oba Hakeem Agbaosi Eweobaja I, the traditional ruler of Aguda Land.

The visit by the entourage which includes the six councillorship candidates and party chieftains was aimed at paying homage to the revered monarch and other Baales within Ojodu LCDA, while also seeking royal blessings to guide and strengthen the campaign efforts of the DOS/KFL ticket. The visit underscores the campaign’s commitment to cultural heritage, traditional institutions and grassroots engagement.

Director General of the Campaign Council, Barr. Olawale Ajala, emphasized that the visit was not only to solicit prayers for electoral success but also to appreciate the unwavering support and wise counsel the traditional rulers have extended to Hon. Odunmbaku during his first term in office.

In his remarks, Oba Agbaosi lauded Odunmbaku’s impactful leadership and commended his excellent achievements in office. He also urged the candidates to emulate the exemplary public service record of Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency.

The royal fathers present which includes Baale of Ojodu, Baale Ojodu Kudoro, Baake Akiode, Baale Yakoyo, Baale Omole, Baale Idiorogbo and Baale Adekunle offered prayers for a peaceful and victorious election campaign.
