Obasa Pays Courtesy Visit to First Lady, Commends Renewed Hope Initiative

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, on Friday paid a courtesy visit to the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at the Presidential Villa.

Obasa disclosed the visit in a post on his official Facebook page, describing the First Lady as a mother, mentor and national figure whose initiatives are making significant impact across the country.

During the meeting, the Speaker commended the achievements of the Renewed Hope Initiative, noting that the programme has emerged as a transformative platform supporting vulnerable women and youths nationwide.

He stated that initiatives under the programme are already delivering measurable benefits in key sectors, including education, healthcare and economic empowerment.

Obasa also emphasised the need for state governments across the federation to align with and support the initiative in order to broaden its reach and ensure more sustainable benefits for citizens.

According to him, the visit also provided an opportunity to extend warm greetings to the First Lady during the concurrent observance of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and the Christian Lenten season.

He noted that the period serves as a reminder of the values of unity, shared responsibility and mutual respect among Nigerians.
