– Council chairman, Hon Fatai Ayoola recounts the loss of the fall out in Ajegunle ENDSARS protest
The paramount ruler in Apapa and Iganmu kingdom of Lagos State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdul-Fatai Aremu Oyeyimika Aromire on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to the council secretariat of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area.
This was disclosed in a press release signed by the council Chairman’s media aide, Sheriff Fakunle.
Fakunle stated that “the visit which was part of his royal activities as traditional head in Apapa and Iganmu territories, saw the king and his entourage commiserate with the Hon. Fatai Ayoola’s administration over the recent loot and destruction of properties in Ajegunle”.
The council Chairman led the king and his royal council which includes Ba’ales in AJIF LGA in attendance round the premises of the council secretariat as they inspected relics of the actions by suspected hoodlums.
In his words, His Royal Majesty, Oba Aromire condemned actions of the suspected hoodlums as he calls on government to bring the culprits to book.
He said: “The peaceful protest that was hijacked by hoodlums is not a good sign for our society, government must punish those involved in this act.’
Meanwhile, Hon. Ayoola, the executive chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area has recounted the loss of the recent loot and destruction of properties by vandals in Ajegunle.
According to the council mayor, “Such incident has taken us ten years backward in the administration of this local government.”
And while appealing to the youths to shun violence, Hon. Ayoola advised the youths to be objective in their response to government activities.
“Our youths must be objective and seek for proper clarifications on actions of the government at all times,” he said.
