Nigerian Youth Parliament Speaker, Yishawu to speak at maiden Lagos Youth Awards

The newly elected Speaker of the Nigerian Youth Parliament, Dr. Azeezat Yishawu will be delivering a lecture at the debut edition of the Lagos Youth Awards billed to hold on Boxing Day, December 26.

According to the organizers, Yishawu, a medical doctor by training and youth advocate, will speak on the topic, “Youth Inclusiveness: The time is now.”

The Lagos State University graduate only recently emerged as the first female Speaker of the Nigerian Youth Parliament. She is a member of the Lagos State Youth Parliament with over four years of active experience in grassroots mobilisation, citizen engagement and stakeholder management.

Yishawu, a USA IVLP Alumnae, a Carrington Youth Alumnae, is the Founder of Ethics and Political Leadership Foundation; and Co-founder of ConstitutionLab.

Themed “The Working Tribe”, this year’s edition of the Lagos Youth Awards will be celebrating 15 outstanding young people across different categories.

The prestigious Sheraton Hotel, Lagos will play host to the event which comes up this Christmas weekend.
