Nigeria reports 409 new cases, Lagos with 201 to maintain lead

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 409 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) midnight of Wednesday, taking the country’s total to 13,873.

The nation’s epicenter, Lagos state recorded 201 new cases followed by Abuja with 85.

Delta has 22, Edo 16, Nasarawa, Borno and Kaduna have 14 cases each, Bauchi 10, Rivers 9, Enugu and Kano 5 each, Ogun and Ondo 4 each, while Bayelsa, Kebbi and Plateau have 2 cases each.

A total of 4,351 people have been discharged, while 382 persons have died from covid-19 related complications.
