As Nigeria celebrates her 65th Independence Anniversary today, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has urged citizens to embrace unity, patriotism, and sacrifice as the driving force for national progress.
Reflecting on timeless words from renowned poet Gebran Khalil Gebran and former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, the First Lady emphasized that the destiny of the nation rests on the collective responsibility of its people.
“Today, as Nigeria marks her 65th Independence Anniversary, these timeless words remind us that the future of our nation rests in our collective hands,” Senator Tinubu said.
“Let us each play our part in building the Nigeria we all desire to see. Every act of patriotism, sacrifice, and service — no matter how small — contributes to the greatness of our land.”
She concluded her goodwill message with prayers for peace and prosperity:
“Happy 65th Independence Anniversary! God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
