Newly promoted AIG Bishi passes on, buried in Lagos

Less than one month after his promotion to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), former Benue State Commissioner of Police, who was later in charge of Armament, Omololu Bishi, has died.

Bishi, a Lagos indigene, died yesterday after complaining of body ache. It was not clear if his death had anything to do with the ravaging coronavirus.

Lagos Panorama confirmed the death of Bishi through Lagos State Police Public Relations (PPRO),CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi who said he was to be buried at the Ebony Vault in Lagos today.

“Yes, he is dead. It’s unfortunate but true”, he affirmed.

The late Bishi was among 13 AIGs promoted by the Police Service Commission (PSC) on December 18, 2020.

The late AIG was buried today, Tuesday morning at the Ebony Vault in Lagos.
