The newly deployed Commissioner of Police in Osun State, CP Samuel Etaifo Erale, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state, Prof. Joash Amupitan (SAN), at the Commission’s State Headquarters in Osogbo.
The visit followed CP Erale’s assumption of office after his deployment by the Inspector-General of Police. During the meeting, the new police chief formally introduced himself to the INEC Chairman and reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to sustaining a strong working relationship with the electoral body in the discharge of its constitutional responsibilities.
In his remarks, Prof. Amupitan welcomed CP Erale to Osun State and expressed confidence that the long-standing collaboration between INEC and the Police would continue to foster peaceful, secure and credible elections across the state.
CP Erale’s visit comes a day after the Inspector-General of Police approved the redeployment of the immediate past Commissioner of Police, paving the way for the new leadership of the Osun State Police Command.
