The Secretariat Club hosted a multifaceted celebration, featuring the induction of 20 new members, a performance by renowned Music Legend Chief Ebenezer Obey, and a fundraiser for club house.
Held on Sunday at the club house, No 2, Atinuke Olabanji Street, Ikeja, Lagos, the event also included a fundraiser for the proposed permanent club house, the unveiling of the architectural design, and the presentation of awards to outstanding members.
In his opening address, Club’s President Otunba Ayodeji Randle acknowledged the Almighty God’s guidance and blessings upon the Club, including the gift of life, good health, and communal harmony.
Otunba Ayodeji Randle, speaking on behalf of the entire membership, conveyed his sincere appreciation to Patron Eng. Chief Sylvanus Ghasarah for his unwavering support and visionary leadership in driving the Club’s development.
He extended a warm welcome to the newly inducted members, expressing his heartfelt gratitude for their presence and inviting them to become integral members of the Secretariat membership Club family.
President Randle emphasized that their induction represented the beginning of a new chapter in their association with the Club, and he encouraged them to participate actively and contribute substantially to the Club’s progress and growth.
Speaking on behalf of the new inductees, Mr. Oladele Ige, Esq., vowed to comply with the Club’s rules and regulations, seeking to elevate it to greater heights.
The event featured a special performance by Juju maestro Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey, who delighted Club members and guests with his classical music.
Respected broadcaster Taiwo Obileye and the Royal Father of the day, Eselu of Iselu Kingdom HRM (Oba) Akintunde Akinyemi, attended the occasion. Ashiwaju Dr. Solomon Kayode Onafowokan served as Chairman, while DIG Johnson Babatunde Kokumo (Rtd) was recognized as Father of the day.
