A 21years old, 400Level, undergraduate student of Department of Physics, Lagos State University, Omoledun,Kofoworola Adenike has won the second edition, year 2021/22 Miss Ojo Beauty Pageant organized by Venux Beauty in collaboration with Ojo Local Government.
The Executive Chairman, Ojo Local Government, Hon.Rasulu Olusola Idowu(Mr.Project) who was represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon.(Mrs) Edna Uche Ubochi in a welcome address explained that the beauty pageant was organised to discover talent, intellect and beauty among the young ladies between 18 to 30years adding that, the contestants will be judged on grace, poise, beauty, eloquence of speech, talent and dress from these scores,the winner would emerge to wear the crown for the whole year.
Hon. Idowu appreciated the outgoing Miss Ojo 2020/21, Princess God’s will Gume, A Graduate of Marketing of University of Abuja as a worthy Ambassador that displayed high level responsibilities and decorum during her reign,noting that his administration will continue to encourage and empower the youths through mass oriented and economic programmes.
The beauty pageant featured 15 Contestants after series of rigorous and interesting competition. The winners emerged as follows: Omoledun, Kofoworola Adenike,the new Miss Ojo,1st runner up, Olusheye Damilola, 2nd runner up, Danjuma Victoria and 4th Position, Ogalu Precious.
The event also featured presentation of palliative food packages to the widows and Awards to the sponsors and personalities that contributed to the success of the competition.
The wife of Oba of Ojo kingdom, HRM, Oba Rufai, Adeife 1, Olori Abidemi Rufai crowned the new Miss Ojo2021/22, she won Washing Machine while consolation prizes were given to other runners up at the competition.
The event was witnessed by Councillors, Council Manager, Mrs.Esther Ajose, Management Team,Stakeholders, Youth Organization from the Local Government Area.
