The Honourable Minister of State for Defence and former Governor of Zamfara State, His Excellency Bello Mohammed Matawalle, is set to host a wedding ceremony for his children on February 9, 2025, an event expected to attract prominent dignitaries, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The forthcoming ceremony has continued to generate public discussion, particularly on social and conventional media platforms. According to sources familiar with the minister’s background, Matawalle has for decades maintained a tradition of caring for and supporting children beyond his immediate family. An insider who worked closely with him as far back as the late 1990s, when he served as a commissioner under the administration of former Governor Sani Ahmad Yarima, disclosed that the minister had previously organised weddings for several young women bearing his name, some of whom were children of relatives and close associates.
