Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has pledged to mobilise 20 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election through his political platform, the Tinubu Again Movement.
Matawalle made the pledge on Tuesday in Abuja after returning to Nigeria, where he was received by supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and members of the movement.
The minister, recently appointed Deputy Director, Security and Intelligence I of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, said the mobilisation drive would target voters across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
Matawalle said Tinubu deserved a second term, citing what he described as the President’s achievements in youth employment, security and economic development since assuming office.
According to him, the Tinubu Again Movement was established to promote the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda and galvanise grassroots support for his re-election.
He pledged to deploy all available resources and political structures within his capacity towards achieving the movement’s 20 million-vote target for Tinubu in 2027.
Also speaking, the National Coordinator of the Tinubu Again Movement, Auwal Abdullahi Aliyu, expressed confidence in the President’s re-election, assuring that members and supporters would intensify their mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 poll.
