Organisers of the debut edition of the Lagos Youth Awards have announced award-winning broadcaster, Morayo Afolabi-Brown as the event’s keynote speaker.

The 41-year-old who has over 15 years experience in the media industry is the anchor of the number one breakfast chat show on Nigerian television; YourView on TVC where she drives conversations on social issues. Afolabi-Brown is also known for her advocacy for the girl-child and women, gender equality and balancing.

The celebrated TV show host will be delivering a keynote address at the event billed to hold on Boxing Day, December 26, 2021 at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel, Lagos.

Tagged ‘The Working Tribe’, the debut edition of the Lagos Youth Awards will be celebrating 15 outstanding young people across several categories such as Legal Practice, Health, Media, Agriculture, Public Service, Governance, Tech, Entertainment, Advocacy, Entrepreneurship, Arts/Literature, and Sports, as well as the coveted “Young Person of the Year”.
After several weeks, voting closed last Friday and organizers reveal collation and sorting is now in process.

An initiative of BBN360, a thriving media company based in Lagos, Nigeria, in collaboration with some youth-based non-profit organizations, the award is designed to celebrate outstanding young people who have positively contributed and excelled in their different fields of endeavour.
