Lookman’s strike sends Super Eagles into AFCON Semi-finals

The Super Eagles of Nigeria zoomed into the Semi-finals of the ongoing AFCON after defeating Angola by a lone goal scored by Ademola Lookman.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria zoomed into the Semi-finals of the ongoing AFCON after defeating Angola by a lone goal scored by Ademola Lookman.

Lookman opened the scoring for the Super Eagles in the 41st minute of the game.

Moses Simon provided Lookman with a nice pass inside the box. It allowed him to finish with a precise effort under the bar.

Earlier, Mabululu won himself just enough space to meet the corner and shot. The goalkeeper made a comfortable save as the ball went into the middle of a goal for corner kick.

In the the 59th minute, a great pass put Zini clear inside the box, he sidestepped the keeper but inexplicably hit his shot against the right post.

Victor Osimhen appeared to have scored the Eagles second goal when he headed the ball in on 75th minute but the goal was ruled out after VAR’s review.In the 89th minute, Zito Luvumbo found himself in a promising position. He ran towards the goal and unleashed a shot from just outside the penalty area which went towards the middle of the goal, but the goalkeeper was ready and made a decent save.
