LJLA Fellows Visit Ojodu LCDA, Explore Grassroots Governance and Development Initiatives

LAGOS — The Executive Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, has received Fellows of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) led by its Executive Secretary, Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, and the Head of Programme, Research and Development, Cynthia Akhagbeme-Simeon.

LAGOS — The Executive Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Segun Odunmbaku, has received Fellows of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA) led by its Executive Secretary, Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, and the Head of Programme, Research and Development, Cynthia Akhagbeme-Simeon.

The visit formed part of the Academy’s experiential learning programme, designed to expose Fellows to firsthand experiences of grassroots governance, public administration and the practical realities of delivering people-centred development at the local government level.

During an interactive leadership session, Odunmbaku showcased several projects and community-driven initiatives undertaken by his administration to improve the lives of residents across key sectors, including healthcare, education, technology, agriculture and youth empowerment.

He highlighted the administration’s commitment to innovative and inclusive governance, particularly efforts aimed at bridging the gap between government and residents while ensuring that development initiatives respond directly to the needs of the people.

The Fellows expressed appreciation for the achievements recorded by the administration, commending its approach to grassroots development and its efforts to strengthen the connection between government and the people.

Odunmbaku assured the visiting Fellows that his administration would remain committed to delivering impactful projects and programmes that translate the dividends of democracy into tangible benefits for residents of Ojodu LCDA.

He reaffirmed that the council would continue to prioritise people-centred governance, innovation and sustainable development as key pillars of its administration.
