LETI seeks stakeholders’ support to achieve the greater Lagos vision

The Director-General, Lagos State Law Enforcement Training Institute (LETI), Prince Ifalade Oyekan, has called on all stakeholders to collaborate and cooperate towards the achievement of the Greater Lagos vision of the State government.

The Director-General, Lagos State Law Enforcement Training Institute (LETI), Prince Ifalade Oyekan, has called on all stakeholders to collaborate and cooperate towards the achievement of the Greater Lagos vision of the State government.

Prince Oyekan made the call during his recent working visit to the General Manager, Lagos State Building Control (LASBCA), Mr. Gbolahan Oki, imploring stakeholders to support the institute in its onerous task of implementing a standardised training ideal for the State Law Enforcement Officers in a Megacity like Lagos.

He said, “The Governor has cleared the path with the establishment of LETI and stakeholders must do their part by supporting the Agency in ensuring the success of instituting an enhanced safety and security network in the State”.

The Director-General said the Lagos State Law Enforcement Training Institute is introducing modern technologies to improve and strengthen the operations of Law Enforcement operatives across the State in line with the T.H.E.M.E.S. Agenda of the State government.

While thanking the Governor for the appointment of Oki as the General Manager of LASBCA, describing him as a round peg in a round hole, Oyekan also expressed his appreciation to the General Manager of LASBCA for the hospitality accorded him and his team.

Responding, Mr. Oki commended Prince Ifalade Oyekan and his management for the introduction of modern technologies to Law Enforcement in the State.

He also promised to collaborate with LETI towards ensuring the provision of training opportunities for his officers, especially in the use of the Body-Worn Camera recently introduced by LETI.

In a related development, Prince Oyekan and his team also met with the Lagos State Chief Resilience Officer, Dr. Folayinka Dania, to congratulate her and also seek her collaboration and cooperation with LETI.

He said LETI is poised to produce modern Law Enforcement Officers for the security and safety of the environment in the State.

The Chief Resilience Officer thanked the team for the visit while also promising to do everything possible to ensure the attainment of the LETI vision.
