The League of Former Ward Chairmen in Ikeja Federal Constituency has commiserated with Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Dr. Mrs. Lola Akande, on the death of her husband, Dr. Kolapo Akande.

Dr. Kolapo Akande, who was brother-in-law to Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of former Lagos State Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, died on Wednesday at the age of 72.

The Coordinator of the League fondly called, ‘Grassroots Managers’ Comrade Tayo Aderinola in a press statement said “On behalf of the League of Former Ward Chairmen in the Ikeja Federal Constituency, we commiserate with the Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Dr. Lola Akande, on the death of her beloved husband, Dr. Kolapo Akande.

Aderinola in the condolence message to the former State Lawmaker for Ikeja Constituency II, said “Words fall short of expressing our sorrow for your loss. We are deeply sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved husband and don’t know how to heal your pain but wish we could, our most sincere condolences.”

“May God wipe away tears from your eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away in your family and the entire Ikeja Federal Constituency” using the biblical verse, Revelation 21:4 to pray for Ikeja Federal Constituency and the entire progressives family in Lagos State and Nigeria at large”.

Aderinola in conclusion said “Dr. Akande lived a fulfilled life, no doubt that he will be sorely missed by his family and loved ones. We sympathise with you, children and the entire extended families of the deceased.
