LAWMA Academy certifies 29 pupils on Waste Management

The maiden edition of LAWMA Academy’s 2021 summer school has produced 29 pupils from different schools within Lagos State.

The maiden edition of LAWMA Academy’s 2021 summer school has produced 29 pupils from different schools within Lagos State.

LAWMA’s Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni, joined by the Executive Director Finance, Mr. Kunle Adebiyi, presented certificates to the pupils.

The pupils were trained on basic waste management techniques and also taken round LAWMA’s key facilities, like Olusosun dumpsite and LAWMA Earthcare Compost Plant, Ikorodu, for on-site experience.

Several items made by the pupils during their one month training, include: beads and pencil cases made from plastics; centre tables made from tyres; and baskets made from newspapers, among others.
