LASURA Hosts Association Of Town-Planning Consultants Of Nigeria

The Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA) recently hosted a delegation from the Association of Town-Planning Consultants of Nigeria (ATOPCON), Lagos State branch, on a courtesy visit on the Agency.

The Lagos State Urban Renewal Agency (LASURA) recently hosted a delegation from the Association of Town-Planning Consultants of Nigeria (ATOPCON), Lagos State branch, on a courtesy visit on the Agency.

The General Manager of LASURA, Tpl. Esv. Oladimeji Animashun warmly welcomed the visiting delegation led by its Chairman, Tpl. Dr. David Olawale to the Agency, expressing his appreciation for the visit.

He said his recent appointment is an honour to the Association of Town-Planning Consultants, adding that he will always seek advice from the professional body as an ambassador of the Association. He reiterated that the THEMES Plus Agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration, as it relates to urban renewal, is the collective goal of the Association.

Earlier, the Chairman, Association of Town-Planning Consultants of Nigeria (ATOPCON), Lagos State Branch and leader of the visiting team, Tpl. Dr. David Olawale said the primary purpose of the visit was to foster a collaborative relationship between ATOPCON and LASURA.

He emphasised the Association’s interest in soliciting the support of the General Manager of LASURA, Tpl. Animashaun, to ensure that ATOPCON members are continuously engaged in professional activities. Olawale expressed the association’s readiness to support LASURA in any capacity that would help the Lagos State Government achieve its objectives and contribute to creating a sustainable environment for the citizens.

Commending Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for appointing a professional Town-Planner as Head of LASURA, the Chairman congratulated the new General Manager, Tpl. Esv. Oladimeji Animashun on his appointment while reiterating the commitment of ATOPCON to enhance urban planning and development in Lagos State through close cooperation with key government agencies.

Other members of the delegation include the National President of ATOPCON, Tpl. Bisi Adedire; TOPREC representative, Tpl. Ogunlewe and ATOPCON, Secretary, Tpl. Shafe Olanrewaju among other professionals
