LASU School of Transport and Logistics on study tour to LASEMA

A total of fifty-one 300 Level Students of the Faculty of School of Transport and Logistics, Lagos State University LASU, Ojo, embarked on a study tour to the equipment hub of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA Cappa Base, Oshodi today, Friday,16th April 2021.

The Students were led by one of their Lecturers, former Lagos State Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Salaam Taiwo Olufemi and other Lecturers to the Agency to expound and deepen the students’ knowledge on various land-use transport systems.

Receiving the students on behalf of the Director General/CEO, LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the LASEMA Director of Operations, Engr. Akinsanya Olatunde welcomed them and took them round the facilities, explaining the operational functions of each of the Heavy-Duty equipment and the Fire Trucks which serve to compliment other Fire Services in the eventuality of any fire outbreak.

While presenting an award of commendation on behalf of the students to the Director General/CEO LASEMA, the Course Representative Miss Esther Oyetubo, expressed profound appreciation to the Agency for the transformative experience garnered in this tour which has deepened their understanding of the Course and improved their learning performance.
