Following the notification received from the Federal Ministry of Transportation on the maintenance works to be carried out at Gaskiya, Abule-Nla and Brewery Level Crossings on the 8th, 15th, and 16th of April 2022, the Lagos State Government has revealed traffic diversion plans for the period.

A statement signed by the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, said the repair schedule indicated that work on the Gaskiya Level Crossing will commence on Friday, April 8, 2022, for eight days while the repair of Abule-Nla and Brewery Level Crossings will take place on the 15th and 16th of April, respectively.

He stated that the traffic plan entails the creation of a counterflow in each open lane for motorists plying the Gaskiya axis and a diversion to Costain Bridge during the 24 hours repair work on Abule-Nla and Brewery Level Crossings.

To further ensure ease of movement, the Commissioner affirmed that traffic guides will be mounted along the affected routes to help motorists navigate the axis, adding that officials of the State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) will be on ground to assist road users.

While lauding the citizenry for their uncompromised understanding and patience amidst various ongoing road projects within the State, Oladeinde assured that the result will be beneficial to the people and the State in the long term.
