LASG set to commence Y2021 “am alive” online verification exercise for pensioners

The Lagos State Civil Service Pensions Office has completed arrangements to commence the Y2021 “AM ALIVE” verification exercise for pensioners from Monday, 9th August 2021 to Friday, 17th September, 2021.

The Lagos State Civil Service Pensions Office has completed arrangements to commence the Y2021 “AM ALIVE” verification exercise for pensioners from Monday, 9th August 2021 to Friday, 17th September 2021.

Giving details about the exercise, the State Commissioner for Establishments, Training and Pensions, Mrs. Ajibola Ponnle, said the online verification was introduced last year by the Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu-led administration to improve service delivery to vulnerable and aged pensioners under the Defined Benefit Scheme

She said, “The Government has provided all the facilities to make the process easy for civil service pensioners to be verified online from the comfort of their homes, anywhere in the world. Our pensioners no longer need to go through the stress of travelling from far and near to queue in Alausa Secretariat to be verified”.

Mrs. Ponnle revealed that the initiative has made pension administration in the State more efficient while ensuring that the database of its pensioners is up to data to enable beneficiaries enjoy other benefits.

The Commissioner, therefore, enjoined all concerned pensioners of the Lagos State Government, under the Defined Benefit Scheme (Pay-As-You-Go), to register online from their homes to verify their “AM ALIVE” status.

She also implored them to visit any service pension office, log on to http://cspo.lagosstate.gov.ng/ or call: 07055544972/ 08108558853 for all enquiries.
