LASG Inaugurates Committees for MICH Implementation

As part of efforts to ensure the successful implementation of the Mother, Infant and Child (MICH) programme, the Office of Civic Engagement has inaugurated three committees for effective and efficient implementation of the launch phase of the initiative.

As part of efforts to ensure the successful implementation of the Mother, Infant and Child (MICH) programme, the Office of Civic Engagement has inaugurated three committees for effective and efficient implementation of the launch phase of the initiative.

The Special Adviser, Office of Civic Engagement (OCE), Princess Aderemi Adebowale inaugurated the new committees with membership drawn from various stakeholders of the launch phase of the programme.

The Special Adviser, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Timothy Ogunubi, said the composition of the various committees is aimed at ensuring efficiency in the implementation of the food distribution at Primary Healthcare Centres across the State, stressing that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu expects high performance from the committees.

Listing the Committees as MICH Resource Mobilisation Committee (MICH-RMC), MICH Monitoring and Evaluation Committee (MICH- M&E/C) and MICH Research Committee (MICH-RC), Princess Aderemi Adebowale charged the members to commence work immediately.

Present at the inauguration were stakeholders and representatives of the Ministry of Health, Lagos State Primary Healthcare Board, Lagos State Health Management Agency, Lagos State Residents Registration Agency, Gerocare and Mumspring among others.
