LASEMA curtails Mushin Fire


On arrival of the Agency’s Responders, Cobra Squad, Eagle Squad and Tiger Squad led by the Super Eagle and DG/CEO LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu at the scene of a fire outbreak at 16, Ladipo Street, Mushin, today, Saturday 1st August, 2020, it was discovered that a foam shop was gutted by fire before escalating to other adjoining shops and building but the cause of the fire could not be ascertained.

However, no loss of life nor injury was sustained at the scene of incident. Other responders at the incident scene are the Nigeria Police, LASG fire, LASEMA Response Unit Fire Team, Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps, working together to curtail the inferno from escalating to more adjoining buildings.

The fire was successfully put out by the combined effort of the LRT led by the Super Eagle (DG/CEO), LRU fire unit and LASG fire Service. Dampening down completed and awaiting the arrival of the Agency’s heavy-duty equipment, Excavator to reconstruct the affected buildings to prevent any secondary incident. Operation ongoing.
