She said the high number of graduating students is a clear demonstration of the present administration’s commitment to continually build youth capacity, adding that the Ministry will continue to strive towards creating opportunities and platforms for the youngsters to thrive and excel.

Advising youths to make use of the varied opportunities created by the government and, in turn, contribute their quota towards the attainment of a Greater Lagos vision, the Commissioner declared that the Ministry is determined to create wealth and employment for the unemployed while keeping them abreast of global trends through collaboration with others.

Mrs. Arobieke appreciated the International Institute of Technology and Application (IITA) Atlanta Georgia, USA, for training the youths on Solar Technology for Solar Farm construction and thanked the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) for equipping the participants with the skills set to install and maintain solar electricity generation system at zero cost to the State government and participants.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment has also organised a Mental Awareness sensitisation programme for Tradesmen and Artisans from Epe, Lagos Island and Badagry at NECA House, Ikeja.

According to the Commissioner, the programme is in tandem with the administration’s resolve to ensure that the Tradesmen and Artisans in Lagos State are both mentally and physically fit to drive and implement their professional goals.

She said artisans must learn the basic essentials that result in disciplined routines, healthy values and habits, coupled with a balanced diet and regular exercise, while avoiding the risk of contracting communicable diseases, especially COVID-19.
