Lagos Tourism to embrace emerging trends, engage stakeholders Thursday

Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has concluded plans on engagement with tourism stakeholders in order to take advantage of emerging trends for sustainable growth of the hospitality sector.

The meeting will deal with current industry challenges, emerging trends, policy frameworks, and collaborative opportunities within the entire hospitality value chain.

According to a Statement issued by the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka on Monday, the engagement is slated for Thursday, 30th May 2024 at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island.

The initiative, targeted at bringing together key players in the hospitality sector including representatives from Hotels, Lounges, Restaurants, Bars, Beaches, Resorts, Event Centres and Night Clubs for tourism development, underscores the commitment of the Ministry to foster collaboration and drive sustainable growth within the sector.

Speaking on the proposed stakeholders’ engagement, the Commissioner said, “This engagement presents a valuable opportunity for us to listen, learn, and collaborate with our esteemed stakeholders. Together, we can harness the immense potential of our hospitality sector, drive innovation, and create impactful strategies that promote tourism growth while preserving our cultural heritage.

“The event will feature interactive sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities designed to facilitate meaningful exchanges and partnerships.

“Stakeholders are expected to participate actively and contribute their insights towards shaping a vibrant and resilient tourism ecosystem”, Benson-Awoyinka stated.
