Lagos Rewards 750 Dedicated Public Servants for 30 Years of Meritorious Service

The Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, made this known at the Year 2025 Long Service Merit Award ceremony held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Adeyemi-Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja.

Agoro explained that the annual recognition was designed to celebrate diligence and inspire greater commitment among the State’s workforce. He noted that the awards serve as both a token of appreciation and a motivation for others to emulate exemplary service and integrity.

While congratulating the recipients, Agoro urged them not to rest on their achievements but to continue demonstrating excellence and professionalism. He reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment that promotes staff welfare, efficiency, and productivity.

The Head of Service further encouraged workers to embrace continuous learning and adopt modern digital tools to enhance their efficiency in line with global best practices.

Agoro commended Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat for their consistent support for the State workforce and for making the event possible.

Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Public Service Office, Mrs. Sunkanmi Oyegbola, congratulated the awardees and reaffirmed the government’s dedication to the welfare of its employees.

Responding on behalf of the awardees, the Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Mrs. Abosede George, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Governor and his team, pledging continued loyalty and commitment to the vision of A Greater Lagos Rising.
